SLIGHTLY
RIGHT OPENING STATEMENT
The
true measure of one's character is
seldom viewed in the mundane world
of every day life. It's portrait
becomes apparent when, either by
design or circumstance, one is
thrust into a position to which one
must rise to the occasion. Slightly
Right views the legacy of the 90's as
the single most notable failure of
character ever visited upon the
Presidency of the United States. If
you find strong disagreement with
these sentiments perhaps you would
be better served elsewhere in your quest for
knowledge.

So, though our base of operations and
viewpoints are small town America, our
influence is noteworthy.

| With
our opening statement proudly
displayed, we want our viewers to
have the opportunity to leave
without being offended. Our basic
philosophy follows two lines.
First,
we believe that government, be it by
Republican or Democratic majority, stifles
the true potential of the individual
to become the best they can be. We
are obliged to be critical of either
party as we find need to do so.
However, with that said, we are
proudly registered Republicans and
feel our party presents the single
most viable and best opportunity
toward individualism and personal
accountability at this time. The
ever growing size of the federal
government has become overwhelming
to many Americans and as a
consequence few are willing to
whisper the words of descent
necessary to curb the glut and
appetite. We, you and I, are
responsible for allowing the
government to assume authority and
responsibility over matters never so
intended by the constitution so
eloquently framed by our
forefathers.
Second,
we subscribe to the belief that the
individual should be praised for
their deeds and suffer the
consequence of their actions should
they be contrary to public good and
order. You will not hear within
these pages a cry for mitigation of
deeds because of circumstance. Far
too many truly great leaders have
grown out of impoverished
circumstance to allow that to become
an excuse for counterproductive
action. Each person, in their own
best interest, and in the best
interest of all, should demand of
themselves and others, the full
accountability and responsibility of
their actions.

|
| For
the better part of fifty years we have
watched our beloved country torn with divisiveness
and a growing ingrained sense of us
against them attitude. We pit
Republicans against Democrats,
minorities against whites, gender
against gender, and almost
unbelievably, business against the
employee. This is wrong and it must
change. We must begin to look
logically and dispassionately at how
this occurred and what must be done to
reverse the process. Many of you will
disagree with the editorial viewpoints
presented here, however, if you allow
yourself the slightest possibility of
consideration, you may find the views
to be at least worthy of
consideration. We are not heretics or
radicals, we are simply appalled at
the deterioration of our mutual
societal values and morays.
In
addition to editorials, we will
provide excerpts from commentary by
leading journalists, and leaders from
the public, private and business
sectors. We intend to point out many
of the not so obvious omissions
foisted upon the public by an
increasingly biased broadcast news
media. We are not angered at anyone,
nor do we have an axe to grind, we are
simply stated, deeply concerned about
the direction we as a nation are
heading.
We
welcome your comments, affirmative or
negative, and will provide those views
as space and time allow, provided they
are presented with a modicum of
logical and researched conviction.

| We
have a deep belief in what we are
trying to accomplish with this
publication. If you find the values
and ethics found here to be in consort
with your own, we need your help for
us to continue. There are several ways
you can be of help and support to our
mutual efforts.
Our
site can become self sustaining
through recruitment efforts. The more
visitors we have to this site and the
more subscribers we have to our E-zine,
the more valuable they become as a
source of revenue to help pay the
overhead. You can help in that
recruitment by forwarding this web
address and a copy of the E-zine to
your friends, family, and associates,
and request that they do the same.
Our
web site and the E-zine will carry a
limited number of text, banner and marquee
ads. If you have a business or are
promoting something, contact us, our
rates are more than reasonable and the
exposure is global. If the web site is
of interest to you, certainly it will
be to others of like mind.
The
web site and the E-zine are free to
any and all. We cannot in, any good
conscience, prohibit access based on an
ability to pay. Just as Boys Town is
supported by the benevolent donors who
can spare a few extra bucks, with
services free to those who cannot, we
choose to follow the same path.
Feel
free to contact us and let us know what
you think in a non politically correct
manner any time.

| Our
web site will be upgraded as often as
possible initially. If we grow and it becomes
financially possible in the coming
months we plan to expand the
publication to a weekly review of the
important issues.
The
information you find here will be
gleaned from the most insightful, or
blatantly ridiculous, journalistic efforts we can find from
around the country. Editorial comment
is ours alone, we assume sole
responsibility for the content. We are
not affiliated with any organization
or fund raising group and intend to
never be beholding to anyone.
Where
ever possible we will include
additional links for your review on a
more in depth evaluation of a
particular issue or events. If
appropriate contact information is
available it will be provided so you
may respond directly to an article,
issue or author.
Our
E-zine is a thumbnail review of the
web site with links to the articles and
issues found here. A quick review of
the E-zine will allow you to go
directly to the issues you find of
interest. Our E-zine is distributed
the same day the web site is published.
