The campaign money issue is simply a proposition that would prohibit unions from spending union dues on political campaigns without the written consent from the individual members. Think about it a minute. If you were a Republican firefighter, or police officer, or teacher and your union was spending YOUR dues money on issues where you disagree with their position would you be just a tad upset? As for wealthy friends and businesses and their political donations, there are laws which strictly limit the amounts that can be donated. In fact, the teachers union alone has has raised twice as much campaign money to get out blatantly false information than the Governor has for his pro campaign.

As far as funds being reduced for services, this is again a blatant lie. Every state employee group has received an increase in funding within the budget constraints. The schools system will get over three billion dollars in increases for next year, yep that was with a B. Gray Davis was removed from office because he remained a good Democrat to the very end, approving an ever increasing debt that drove California to Junk Bond status. The governor is attempting to bring California back from financial disaster without monumental tax increases.

It seems every group wants tax relief from soaring spending in Sacramento that is out of control. As long as it does not affect them. Cut somebody else's freebies, but don't even think about cutting mine.

Well folks guess what, the Democrats will probably win again. The republicans simply seem destined not to learn the most important political rule of all. NEVER LET AN ATTACK GO UNCHALLENGED.  Over the last fifty years the Demos have become masters at this and are running a well oiled machine in that direction again.
